«Russian Technology Platform «ANIMAL HEALTH and WELFARE»
for integration with 7-th Framework Programme of EC

Russian technology platform «ANIMAL HEALTH AND WELFARE» is organized by Russian Society of Biotechnologists and integrates profile institutes, companies and organizations involved in solution of farm animal health and welfare problems. Consortium activity is associated with FP7 programme and focused on reproduction, nutrition and veterinary issues.

Main Topics of the Platform:

Molecular biology and genetics of farm animals;

Diagnostics, monitoring, prophylaxis and treatment of farm animals’ diseases;

Improvement quality of veterinary drugs

Feed production for farm animals;

Utilization of waste in stock-raising.

Objectives and Tasks

The general idea of the platform is the integration of Russian professionals participating in different aspects of farm animal health and welfare and their collaboration with EP7-programme.
The goal is a realization of selected high priority projects to gain positive results in the health preservation of farm animal populations. In this field following tasks will be solved:

Optimized animal health, production and welfare in different sectors of the stock-raising;

Elaboration of the methodological approach to diagnostics, prophylaxis and treatment of infectious animal diseases;

Developing and production of a new vaccines, diagnostic and drugs for veterinary;

Optimized control and standardization of veterinary drugs;

New line in prophylaxis and treatment of farm animals diseases;

Searching of innocence and ecology safety means for therapy of animals diseas;

Modern technologies for feed production in stock-raising and poultry;

New biotechnological lines for utilization of waste in stock-raising.
