Russian Technology Platform «FISHERIES and AQUACULTURES»
for integration with 7-th Framework Programme of EC

Russian National Technology Platform is an integrated document, worked out under the participation of scientific organizations and institutes of higher education, and also industrial fish-breeding and fish-processing enterprises, which are working in the field of aquaculture.
The Russian Federation has a large fish industry fund of different type water bodies, which are the production basis for developing cold-water and warm-water aquaculture as well as mariculture.

The aim of the platform is a scientific promotion for developing different aquaculture directions in pasturable, intensive and industrial regulations with maximum using potential bioproduction opportunities of the water bodies of the country.


Realization principles of the main platform positions:

  • Getting new theoretical and applied knowledge for creating new high-performance technologies of cultivating, rearing and processing aquaculture products;
  • Application of present national and foreign technologies and hardware for production of fish-breeding (aquaculture) products at the enterprises of different patterns of ownerships with output of competitive food and technical products.

The main positions of the platform are used during:

  • Establishing long-term and short-term programmes on agroindustrial complex of the country; 
  • Determining priorities of scientific and technical development;
  • Forming competitive themes for financing them from different sources;
  • Working out investment projects and establishing modern advanced technology aquaculture enterprises;
  • Consulting service for industrial enterprises specializing in cultivating, rearing and processing aquaculture products.
